We collect the following information when you opt into our text message notification service:

  • Your mobile telephone number.
  • Your ZIP code (optional, for localized alerts).

We collect this information with your explicit, affirmative consent.

3. Use of Data and Service Provider

The personal data collected will be used solely for the purpose of sending you the specific notifications you signed up for. We will not process your personal data for purposes that are not reasonably necessary to or compatible with this specified purpose without first obtaining your consent.

We use Textedly as our third-party service provider to facilitate these text message notifications. Textedly helps us manage the distribution of messages. In using this service, we do not share your mobile information with other third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

4. Data Protection and Security

Pueblo County is committed to taking reasonable measures to secure your personal data from unauthorized acquisition, access, or disclosure. Our security practices are appropriate for the type and nature of the data collected and processed. If a security breach involving your personal information occurs, we will provide timely notice to you and the Colorado Attorney General, as required by C.R.S. section 24-73-103.

5. Your Rights and Opt-Out

You have control over your information:

  • Opt-Out: You can withdraw your consent and stop receiving text messages at any time. To stop receiving messages, text STOP to the number provided in the notification message.
  • Access, Correction, and Deletion: Under the Colorado Privacy Act, you have the right to access, correct, and delete your personal data that we maintain.
